Description: The Business Manager equips the parish to effectively accomplish its mission by managing parish finances, facilities, and personnel. The manager works closely with the Pastor and other staff members and is directly responsible for financial reporting, budget development, and supervision of maintenance and administrative staff.

Salary and Benefits: Negotiable contingent on experience. The benefit package includes retirement, health, dental, and disability through the Diocese of Owensboro.

Qualifications: Must be a practicing Catholic with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (preferred) or an Associate’s degree with equivalent accounting experience; minimum of three to five years of prior professional experience; previous management experience preferred; knowledge of budgeting principles, accounting principles, and financial reporting; excellent organization, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills; ability to relate to a variety of persons who are part of the Parish and Parish staff and complete a criminal history and background check.

Program Director for the School of Theology

Location: Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (Cincinnati, Ohio)
Description: Mount St. Mary’s School of Theology is seeking a full-time Program Director who will report to the Dean of the School of Theology. The director will likewise collaborate with the Coordinator of Lay Ecclesial Formation, the Registrar/Director of Assessment, and the Academic Office’s administrative assistant.

The Program Director is responsible for the following:

  • Under the guidance of the Dean of the School of Theology, the director will coordinate and supervise the academic offerings for the undergraduate-level Certificate in Pastoral Ministry and Certificate in Catholic Theology programs.
  • In collaboration with the Coordinator of Lay Ecclesial Formation, the director will help oversee the formational offerings of the Lay Ecclesial Formation Program including theological reflection opportunities, pastoral field education experiences, and capstone projects.
  • Under the guidance of the Dean of the School of Theology and in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Specialist, the director will help develop marketing strategies and outreach plans for School of Theology programs.
  • The director will serve as an advisor for the students and help implement extracurricular student programming and events.
Qualifications:
  • Possess a minimum of a master’s degree in theology, philosophy, Catholic studies, or pastoral ministry from an accredited institution.
  • Have a creative and entrepreneurial mode of thinking with strong organizational skills.
  • Be familiar with Catholic ecclesiastical organizations and educational/formation programs.
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Be committed to supporting the MTSM mission.

Location: St. Joseph University Parish in Terre Haute, Indiana
Description: St. Joseph University Parish in Terre Haute, Indiana (Archdiocese of Indianapolis) is looking for a fulltime Director of Religious Education (DRE) starting in the spring of 2025.

The Parish Director of Religious Education develops, coordinates and supervises parish programs and activities related to faith formation. The position’s primary emphasis is on preparation for the celebration of sacraments. These programs include:

  • Preparation of families for the baptism of their children
  • A children’s catechetical program for grades K-8 that includes preparation for Reconciliation and First Communion.
  • Collaboration with the city-wide high school youth ministry program that includes preparation for Confirmation.
  • Coordinating city-wide young adult ministry (FRAYAM, Franciscan Young Adult Ministry).
  • Marriage preparation for engaged couples.
  • Providing faith formation opportunities for adults including Bible studies, retreats, pilgrimages and other faith-related educational opportunities.
  • Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. (OCIA is a shared program with 5 other parishes in Terre Haute.)

St. Joseph University Parish is a congregation of approximately 600 households in Terre Haute, Indiana (pop. 58,500). Founded in 1837, St. Joseph University Parish has been served by the Conventual Franciscan Friars since 1872. Our campus includes a church, parish center and an office building. We are in the process of building a new meeting hall. There are usually two or three friars assigned to the parish and six to eight lay staff. St. Joseph Church often works closely with St. Benedict Parish, another church in Terre Haute served by Franciscan Friars.

Qualifications:
  • The DRE should be a practicing Catholic with knowledge of the Church’s teachings, liturgy, and structure.
  • Ideal minimum education is the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in theology or related field, or in pedagogy or related field.
  • Experience as a catechist or teacher.
  • Experience with administration, especially working with volunteers and program planning.
  • Willingness to learn and implement the policies, procedures, and curriculum of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.

We are looking for a full-time, salaried director. Salary will be based on a presumption of 30-40 hours per week, to be negotiated. Salaries for a fulltime DRE or PCL in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis range typically between $35,000 and $55,000 per year, depending on education, certification, and experience. Also included:
